Family Matters

This weekend I went home to help my sister get ready for her first high school dance. She is so fun, outgoing and gorgeous. I had such a blast being home with family! She was in charge of the Homecoming assembly and the Homecoming half-time so I was so happy that I was home to help! Just some things we did this weekend:

1. Made a Balloon Arch for Homecoming Royalty
2. Made Homecoming Royalty Certificates
3. Did her makeup

Then I got on a plane at 4am Sunday and flew back to meet up with my hubby and his family for LDS General Conference in Salt Lake!

I realized this weekend how great it is to be there for and support family. Family is HUGE to me and I loved seeing my sister feel relief during the homecoming half-time (it's a ton of work), see her beautiful face light up when she got all dolled up and then to see my husband and in-laws and enjoy conference with them! Sometimes it takes work to keep good relationships with family, but it is SO worth it.

I'm going to post some tutorials in the near future on how to make a balloon arch, certificates and possibly makeup in the near future and maybe what you should know before flying Allegiant Air Lines. So stay tuned and let me know what else you would like me to talk about here. (I've had my fair share of Student Council in my days and know it can be stressful to put on events so I am totally willing to help!)

Hair on top of my head and a Diet Dr. Pepper to get me through a busy day. I was working on the Homecoming Certificates.

Aren't those flowers gorgeous? In the school colors.

Not the best quality picture, but here is the bag we gave to her for the royalty.

Getting the balloon arch in place.

We were so happy with how it turned out!

Some of the family and I!

Claire's makeup. She wanted a smokey eye.

Lining her amazing eyebrows- I love that she has darker features- It makes it different and more fun for me to do!

 Those darn boutonnieres..

We got his boutonniere from AJs in Dana Park. It turned out awesome!!

Our family friend Natalie did her hair.. it had loose curls, twists and a fishtail braid pulled through. She's basically amazing. Look at the video below to see more of her look!

Gorgeous girl. Her dress is Eliza J from Nordstrom.

Michael was such a good date to Claire!

Okay so now I want to hear from you. What ideas do you have? What do you think is important to do for family? Would you rather have the balloon arch, makeup or Allegiant Air post next? Or something else you'd like? Let me know in the comments below!!

Thanks for reading! You guys are THE BEST.

It's Fall

Oh my gosh.

FALL!!!!!!

It makes me so happy. Especially cause it reminds my of when we got engaged TWO years ago. WOW. Seriously two years? So nuts.

In honor of Fall, I thought I would share some of my favorites from our Fall engagements.

All images are from Woodcat Photography in Utah... they're pretty much an amazing husband and wife duo. They did such a good job at representing us as we naturally are instead of just posed. Check them out here!

Happy Fall! Who else loves Fall?? Any other cute ideas for engagements?

Let me know below!
